VOLUNTEER
Six Easy Steps to Volunteering
1. Phone FNQ Volunteers Inc. to make an appointment with one of our referral officers. The meeting can be in person at our office OR by phone if you are outside the local area. Our referral officer will phone the volunteer at the appointed time.
2. The referral officer and the volunteer discuss interests, skills and motives. These are then matched with suitable positions available at not-for-profit community organisations in their local area.
3. The referral officer then contacts the member organisation to set up a mutually convenient appointment time for both the volunteer and co-ordinator of the organisation to meet.
4. The volunteer is given a copy of the position description and a letter of introduction to be taken to the interview with the organisation.
5. If the volunteer is referred to FNQ Volunteers Inc. by a job network provider, Centrelink officer or a Community Work Co-ordinator, then FNQ Volunteers will provide feedback regarding the outcome of the interview and all subsequent contact with the volunteer. (Signed consent will be obtained prior to any sharing of information).
