Queensland's 150th Celebrations (Q150) will happen across Queensland from January to December 2009.
Q150 will commemorate Queensland's independence from New South Wales as a colony. The anniversary gives us the opportunity to celebrate and reflect on what it means to be a Queenslander.

Four broad themes of history, people, places and future will support the vision for the celebrations: reflect on our past, imagine our future… The third and final round of Q150 funding is now available. For more details on funding and Q150 news and events go to Queensland Government

FNQ Volunteers Inc. Q150 Project

The Q150 project funded by the Queensland Government aims to highlight the contribution volunteers and community organisations have made in Far North Queensland, recognising the role of the vast number of "voluntary hours" invested in the Far North Queensland region over the past 150 years.

The vision of the project is to reflect on the past (as a group of volunteers and not-for-profit organisations in the region) and to propose for the future the continuing vital role of volunteers and the role of not-for-profit organisations in our community and its development.
